Julius Kenyamanyara

Lead Pastor

Julius Kenyamanyara is the Lead Pastor of Petra City Church and the Director of Village of Hope Tanzania. Since 2012, he and his late wife, Jade served as Global Workers with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, driven by a shared vision to impact lives through faith. Julius is passionate about building an inclusive urban church and nurturing the potential of children and youth, especially the most vulnerable. He now lives in Mwanza with his three sons.

Laura Kelly

Associate Pastor

Laura Kelly is the Associate Pastor at Petra City Church, originally from New Brunswick, Canada. She moved to Mwanza in 2018 to start a girls’ health project with Emmanuel International Canada and has been part of Petra since its inception. In 2021, she officially took on the role of Director of Next Gen, overseeing Sunday Morning Experiences, leading youth initiatives, supporting Petra Kids, and preaching. Despite the challenges of cross-cultural living, Laura is confident she’s exactly where God has called her to be.

Paul Senni

Associate Pastor

Paul Senni is the Associate Pastor of Equipping and Discipleship at Petra City Church. A devoted husband and father to a young daughter, Paul has been part of Petra since its beginning, contributing through roles in Petra Worship and Petra Media. His heart is for equipping and empowering believers to grow in their faith, creating spaces where people can be nurtured and discipled in their walk with Christ.

Our Board


The Petra Board Team provides spiritual and strategic oversight for the life of the church. This team offers wisdom, accountability, and support to the pastoral team, helping to guide major decisions and ensure the health and direction of Petra City Church remain aligned with its mission and values.
